Chuck is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and spent the first 22 years of his life living in the Mountain State. Chuck spent numerous years in advocacy and organizing in all parts of Tennessee. He is an Appalachian expat currently living in Central Florida.
Chuck, along with co-host Big John Isner, started Appodlachia in December 2019 in hopes of providing a space where progressive voices could start a counter-narrative to the negative and monolithic portrayal that often plagues Appalachia.

Big John is also a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia and lifelong Appalachian. John spends his days as an attorney representing indigent clients in criminal defense. He is a former candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates and renowned bowler.
